and messaging , and free-of-charge digital map
information and navigation.

After loosing 40% of their revenue in mobile phones in Q2 2013.
Nokia announced a strategic
partnership with Microsoft in February 2011.
It includes replacement of Symbian with Microsoft’s
Windows Phone operating system in all Nokia smartphones.

Nokia includes support to the Symbian and MeeGo OS.
But,
as replacement of Windows in Nokia devices is ongoing.

The support to Symbian and MeeGo OS gets slow.

(MeeGo which is Linux based operating system.
If we see towards MeeGo this is joint project of Nokia and Intel.)

Yesterday,
Nokia announced that in October it will be ending all
developer support for MeeGo and Symbian.

That will result in Ovi Store won’t accept any more apps.

This news was announced from the official Symbian Team account on Twitter.

Developer will not be able to push new application and update in Ovi store.
But,
They will be able to receive revenue from their apps.

All the apps will be available in the store for download.

They dropped both OS…
But we enjoy a lot on Symbian and MeeGo.

Thanks
